பிரபல பாலிவுட் பிரபலம் ராஜ்குமார் சந்தோஷிதான் அவர். செல்வராகவனின் கதை ஒன்றுக்காக இந்தி உரிமைக்காக இருபது லட்சம் கொடுத்திருந்தாராம். ஆனால் உரிமையை இவருக்கும் கொடுக்காமல் வேறொருவருக்கு கொடுத்துவிட்டார் செல்வராகவன். அப்படியென்றால் வாங்கிய இருபது லட்சத்தை திரும்பி தர வேண்டுமல்லவா? அதையும் செய்யவில்லை. இந்த பணத்தை பேங்க் வட்டியோடு சேர்ந்து 54 லட்சமாக திருப்பி கேட்கிறாராம் அவர்.
பிரபல தெலுங்கு தயாரிப்பாளர் டி.ராமா நாயுடு தனது தயாரிப்பில் படம் ஒன்றை இயக்குவதற்காக மூன்று கோடி ரூபாய் அட்வான்சாக கொடுத்திருந்தாராம் செல்வராகவனுக்கு. அந்த படத்தையும் இயக்கித் தராமல் கொடுத்த அட்வான்சையும் திருப்பி தராமல் இருக்கிறாராம் செல்வா. வட்டியோடு சேர்த்து ஆறு கோடியாக வசூலித்து தரும்படி தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்தில் புகார் கொடுத்திருக்கிறாராம் அவர்.
தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்தின் முன்னாள் தலைவர் எல்.எம்.எம் முரளிதரன் தன் கம்பெனி சார்பாக ஒரு படத்தை இயக்க செல்வாவுக்கு அட்வான்ஸ் கொடுத்திருந்தாராம். அதையும் வட்டியும் முதலுமாக திருப்பி கேட்டு புகார் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் அவர். இப்படி மும்முனை தாக்குதலில் இவர் சிக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்க, படத்துக்கு அதிக செலவு வச்சுட்டாரு. அதனால் அவருகிட்டேயிருந்து ஒரு தொகையை வசூலித்துக் கொடுங்க என்று செல்வராகவன் மீது இரண்டாம் உலகம் தயாரிப்பு தரப்பே ஒரு புகாரை தயாரிப்பாளர் சங்கத்திற்கு தட்டிவிட, பேரதிர்ச்சியில் உறைந்திருக்கிறாராம் செல்வராகவன்.

Director Selvaraghavan in financial mess!
Director Selvaraghavan is awaiting the release of his magnum opus Irandam Ulagam. However his ‘financial world’ is swirling his head very badly. Will his film give him the comfort to come out of the situation is a big question mark facing Selva now.
Selva has received an advance of Rs.20 lakhs from a Bollywood producer Rajkumar Santhoshi for acquiring rights of Selva’s story. But having received the advance, Selva has sold the rights to another producer. Now the Rajkumar Santhoshi demands the advance amount be returned along with bank interest aggregating to Rs.54 lakhs.
In another instance, Telugu producer D. Rama Naidu gave Selva an advance of Rs.3 crores to produce a film for his production company. But he failed to honour the commitment, and now Rama Naidu has filed a complaint with Producers’ Council to collect from him Rs.6 crores towards advance and bank interest.
Not stopping with that, Selva also took an advance from L.M.M. Muralidharan, ex. President of Producers’ Council, for making a film for his company. He failed to honour that too. Now Murali too filed a complaint with Producers’ Council to collect the advance along with interest from Selva.
As if not sufficient with the three cornered attack, the producer of Irandam Ulagam PVP Cinemas, too filed a complaint with Producers’ Council claiming that Selva has exceeded the budget and thereby possibility of loss for his film, due to that. Hence he too has requested to the council to collect an amount from the director for the excess spending.
Selva being a shrewd director, now has to bring all the shrewdness at his command to solve these financial issues threatening to take an ugly turn.
