Director Shankar known for grandeur in his films without worrying for the costs as long as the producers don’t complain. Yes, when compared to the business he would get for his film, it is pea-nuts. At the same time one should also be aware cost-cutting is the ‘ring-tone’ for Indian economy. Also, if it gets results fast, then one can see some merit in incurring a cost. But what about this one? Shankar has told Ascar Ravichandran to develop a flower garden for the film Ai. Ravichandran without hesitation has arranged developing a flower garden at Kodaikanal. But the question here is when it will grow as a colour-ful garden and when will Shankar finish off his film? Well one may say being an intelligent and smart director, Shankar may also aware of this, but what we really are puzzled at, is why he is doing such a thing?
