மதுரை தேனி என்று வளமான பூமியில் வாழ்ந்தாலும் அங்கு எந்த விளைச்சல் ஜாஸ்தி என்றால், அது அருவா வெட்டும் அடிதடியும்தான். அங்குள்ள மனிதர்களின் கதைகளை கடந்த இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாக எழுத்துக்களில் வடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் எழுத்தாளர் வேல ராமமூர்த்தி, தனது விசிட்டிங் கார்டில் இப்படிதான் அடித்து வைத்திருப்பாராம். ‘பேரன்பும் பெருங்கோபமும் கொண்டவன்’ என்று. இவரது பேரன்பை விட்டுவிட்ட இயக்குனர் விக்ரம் சுகுமார், படத்தில் இவரயே நடிக்க வைத்து அவரது பெரும்கோபத்தை காட்டியிருக்கிறார். அந்த படம்தான் மதயானை கூட்டம்.
ஒரு மதயானை வந்தாலே ஊரு அல்லு சில்லுதான். ஆனால் ஒரு மதயானை கூட்டத்தையே கூட்டி வந்தால் எப்படியிருக்கும். ‘அதைதான் என் படத்தில் கூறியிருக்கிறேன். நான் பொறந்த தேனியில ‘சாப்பிட்டு போப்பா’ என்பதையே கோபத்தோடுதான் கூறுவார்கள். ஆனால் அதில் அன்பும் அதே அளவுக்கு வழிந்தோடும்’ என்றார் விக்ரம் சுகுமார். ட்ரெய்லரில் ரத்தம் தெறித்தது. தென்னாட்டின் ராம்கோபால் வர்மாவோ என்று சந்தேகப்படுகிற அளவுக்கு ஆறாக ஓடியது வன்முறை. ஏன் இவ்வளவு வன்முறை? என்ற கேள்விக்கு ‘கதைக்கு தேவைப்பட்டுச்சு. அதான் ’ என்றார் இயல்பாக.
சரி…மத யானை கூட்டத்துக்கு நடுவில் மயில் எதற்கு? இந்த கேள்வியை வெகுவாக ரசித்தார் ஓவியா. அந்த மயிலே இவர்தானே, அதனால்தான் இந்த ரசிப்பு. இதற்கு விளக்கம் சொன்னார் டைரக்டர். எங்க தேனிக்கு பக்கத்துலதான் இருக்கு கேரளா. அங்கிருந்து ஏராளமானவங்க தேனியில் வந்து குடியிருக்காங்க. அப்படி வந்த ஒரு கேரளா பெண்ணுக்கும், ஹீரோவுக்கும் லவ். இந்த படம் முடிஞ்ச வரைக்கும் யதார்த்தத்தை மட்டுமே சொல்லியிருக்கு என்றார் விக்ரம் சுகுமார். இவர் பாலுமகேந்திராவின் அசிஸ்டென்ட்டாம். எங்க சார்ட்ட இருந்து பாலா, வெற்றிமாறன்னு நிறைய பேர் வந்திருக்காங்க. நான் ஒரு படத்தை எடுத்தேன்னா என்ன பண்ணியிருக்கான்னு ஏராளமான கண்கள் பார்த்துகிட்டேயிருக்கு. இந்த படம் பாலுமகேந்திரா சாருக்கு பெருமை சேர்க்கும். அதுமட்டுமல்ல, அவருகிட்டேயிருந்து வந்து படம் இயக்கி வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கும் பெருமை சேர்க்கும் என்றார்.
எங்க ஊர் கேரளாவுல எனக்கு வாய்ப்பு கிடைக்கல. பட் தமிழ்நாடு என்னை வாழ வைக்குது என்று ரொம்பவே நெகிழ்ந்தார் ஓவியா. முன்னை விட பளபளப்புடன் காணப்பட்ட அவருக்கு இந்த படத்தின் வெற்றி செய்தி, சம்பளத்திலும் பளபளப்பை ஏற்றும் போலிருக்கிறது. ஹ்ம்ம்ம்ம்… தமிழ்நாட்டு ரத்தமெல்லாம் இப்படி கேரளாவுக்கே சேவையாகுது!
Madha Yaanai Koottam audio and trailer launched
The audio launch of Madha Yaanai Koottam was held at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai, on 24th November, 2013. Director Bharathiraja released the audio and the same was received by director Bala. The trailer was also released on the same day and director Balu Mahendra released it and was received by Keyaar, the head of the Tamil Nadu producer’s council. All the cast and crew of the film unit participated. The trailer of the film seems to be receiving accolades in the social media. The trailer portrays the rustic look of Madurai and suggests that the movie would be a revenge story. The movie is directed by Vikram Sugumaran and produced by G.V Prakash under the banner G.V Prakash productions.
Speaking on the occasion director Vikram Sugumaran said that this film will add further glory to his mentor director Balu Mahendra and his desciples viz. Bala and Vetrimaran. He said that people of Madurai and Theni will have both love and anger in good measure and he has brought that out in his film. He also sounded optimistic when he said that the character portrayed by veteran writer popular in this part of the state, Vela Ramamurthy brings to the fore the anger in good measure. Vela Ramamurthy a short-tempered person in his life, has excelled in his role, opined the director.
Asked about how Oviya’s presence in otherwise a wild revenge story, as the trailer shows it, he said that it was a love affair between Oviya a Keralite settled in Theni and the hero falls in love with her. “I could not get a chance in my own state Kerala whereas Tamil Nadu has provided him not only bread and butter but also a life and career” said an emotional Sugumaran.
