வீரம், ஜில்லா ரெண்டுக்குமே வரிவிலக்கு இல்ல… அரசின் முடிவும் அதிர்ச்சி திருப்பமும்!

வீரம், ஜில்லா இரண்டுக்குமே வரிவிலக்கு இல்லை என்று கூறிவிட்டது அரசு. தமிழக அரசின் இந்த முடிவுக்கு அதிர்ச்சியாக வேண்டியது சினிமா ரசிகர்கள் இல்லை. ஏனென்றால் வரிவிலக்கு கிடைத்தாலும் சரி, கிடைக்காவிட்டாலும் சரி, அவர்கள் வாங்கப் போகும் டிக்கெட்டின் விலை குறையப்போவதில்லை. ஆனால் விநியோகஸ்தர்களுக்கும் தியேட்டர்காரர்களுக்கும் செம லாக். முப்பது சதவீத வரி இவர்கள் தலைமீதுதான். ஆனால் அதற்கு அவர்கள் தயாராக இருக்கணுமே?

ஜில்லா படத்திற்கு வரிவிலக்கு கிடைக்கவில்லை என்று தெரிந்த அடுத்த வினாடியே எல்லா விநியோகஸ்தர்களையும் அலுவலகத்திற்கு வரவழைத்த தயாரிப்பாளர் ஆர்.பி.சவுத்ரி, வாங்கிய பணத்திலிருந்து முப்பது சதவீதத்தை திருப்பிக் கொடுத்துவிட்டாராம். வீரம் ஏரியாவில் என்ன நடந்தது என்பதை அறியமுடியவில்லை. தயாரிப்பாளர் வெளிநாட்டில் இருப்பதாக தகவல். ஒருவேளை வந்து ரிட்டர்ன் கொடுக்கிறாரோ என்னவோ?

அரசு ஏன் இப்படியொரு முடிவை எடுத்தது? வேறொன்றுமில்லை, முப்பது கோடி, ஐம்பது கோடி என்று பணத்தை கொட்டுகிற தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் கொள்ளை அறுவடை செய்கிறார்கள். ஐந்து நாட்களுக்கு டிக்கெட் விலையை எவ்வளவு வேண்டுமானாலும் வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என்கிற மறைமுக ஆதரவும் கொடுத்து, முப்பது சதவீத சலுகையும் கொடுக்க வேண்டுமா என்று நினைத்ததாம் அரசு. இனிமேல் பெரிய பட்ஜெட்டில் தயாராகும் படங்களுக்கு நோ வரிவிலக்கு என்று முடிவெடுத்திருப்பதாக தெரிகிறது. அதே நேரத்தில் சிறு முதலீட்டு படங்களுக்கு வழங்கலாம் என்றும் முடிவெடுத்திருக்கிறார்களாம்.

அரசுக்கு வரவேண்டிய பணமெல்லாம் இப்படி அநாமத்தா போவுதே என்று புலம்புகிறவர்களுக்கு இது நல்ல செய்தி…

TN Government refused tax exemption for Veeram and Jilla

While, both biggies for this Pongal, Ajith’s Veeram and Vijay’s Jilla are fighting it out this festive season, at the Box Office, they were not given tax waiver by the State government. While for Jilla, the tax officials who watched the film say that the title of the film is not pure Tamil, for Ajith’s Veeram, they have pointed out that the film makes fun of certain government officials which have not gone well with them. Also there is too much violence in the film, sources said.

Though the points of refusal seem to be very preliminary, the actual reasons behind this, was to avoid money going into the coffers of big film producers with leading and popular heroes. While they are given a hike in ticket rates in the first week, these films if also given with 30% tax exemption will be additional profit for the big producers of such films. Hence, the state government has taken a policy decision of not to entertain big heroes films for any tax exemption in future too. Though there is no written rule on it, it is being put into practice now.
