ஒரு தியேட்டரில் நடைபெறும் கதையை மையமாக கொண்டு உருவாக்கப்படும் படம்தான் கனவுக்கொட்டகை! அர்சில் மூர்த்தி இயக்கும் இப்படத்திற்கு இசை ரகுநந்தன். தலைப்பே இப்படி அமைந்துவிட்ட பிறகு படத்தில் ஏதாவது ஸ்பெஷல் வேண்டுமே? பாடலாசிரியர் மதன் கார்க்கியின் ஐடியாபடி ஒரு டைட்டில் பாடலை உருவாக்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். இந்திய சினிமா 100 ஆண்டுகளை நிறைவு செய்ததை முன்னிட்டு அதையே கான்சப்டாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டார்கள்.
நுறாண்டு கனவுகள் என்ற தலைப்பில் ஒரு பாடலை எழுதிக் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார் மதன்கார்க்கி. இதில் தமிழ்சினிமாவின் முன்னோடிகள் என்று சொல்லப்படும் முக்கியமான 100 படைப்பாளிகளின் பெயர்களை வரிசையாக இணைத்து பாடல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

என்று துவங்குகிறது அப்பாடல். இந்திய சினிமா நுற்றாண்டு விழாவில் யார் யாரை அழைக்கவில்லையோ, அவர்களுக்கும் கவுரவம் கொடுத்து எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தது அப்பாடல். பிரபல இசையமைப்பாளர் ஜி.வி.பிரகாஷ்குமார் இப்பாடலில் நடித்தும் இருக்கிறார். (விதவிதமாக ராமராஜன் கலரில் அவர் திரையில் தோன்றி ஜொலிப்பதை பார்த்தால், எதிர்காலத்தில் விதி விரட்டி விரட்டி கொத்தும் போலிருக்கே)
நடிகர்களில் ரஜினி, கமல் வரைக்கும் காட்டி முடித்துக் கொண்டார்கள். 150 படங்களை தாண்டிய விஜயகாந்த் எங்கே போனார் என்றெல்லாம் கேட்க ஆசைதான். ஆனால் தனது உரையில் இதற்கான காரணத்தை கூறிவிட்டார் மதன்கார்க்கி. ‘நிறைய பெயர்கள் விட்டுப்போனது வருத்தம்தான். ஏன்னா 100 பேர் போதும்னு சொல்லிட்டார் இசையமைப்பாளர். அதுக்கு மேல போனால் பாடலின் நீளம் அதிகமாகிவிடும். அதனால்தான்’ என்றார் மதன்.
ஆனால் இந்த பாட்டில் சொற்குற்றம் இல்லை. பொருள் குற்றம் இல்லை. பிளேஸ்மென்ட் குற்றம் மட்டும் ரொம்பவே அதிகம். ஒரு பாடல் வரியில் வைரமுத்துவின் பெயருக்கு அடுத்தாற்போல வருகிறது இளையராவின் பெயர். நியாயமாக இளையராஜா வைரமுத்து என்றல்லவா எழுதியிருக்க வேண்டும் மதன் கார்க்கி? அவரை ஓரமாக தள்ளிக் கொண்டு போய் கேட்டால், நன்றாகவே சமாளித்தது குட்டிப்புலி.
‘இல்லங்க, அப்படி எழுதியதில் எவ்வித உள்நோக்கமும் இல்ல. சந்தத்துக்காகவும் மீட்டர்ல பொருந்தறதுக்காகவும் இசையமைப்பாளர்தான் கொஞ்சம் மாத்திகிட்டாரு’ என்றார் வெள்ளந்தியாக.
சேரையோ, நாற்காலியையோ…., அவ்வளவு ஏன்? தமிழ்சினிமாவின் சிம்மாசனத்தையோ கூட மாத்திக்கோங்க மக்களே… வரலாற்றை மாற்றிக் எழுத சந்தத்துக்கும் தாளத்திற்கும் பாடல் எழுதிய உங்களுக்கும் கூட உரிமையே கிடையாது… ஆமாம்!
Is it right to change history for the sake of rhythm?
A film titled ‘Kanavu Kottagai’ is being made under the direction of Arsil Murthy, is being exclusively made to celebrate the 100 years of Indian Cinema. While Raghu Nandhan is composing music for the film, lyrics are by Madhan Karky. He was asked to write a theme song on the completion of 100 years with cobtributors name for the Indian Cinema. The song goes like this….

Music composer GV Prakash has acted in the songs wearing varities of colourful costumes (if you remember Ramarajan, i am not responsible). However the main point here is there were few hiccups as had happened during the Centenary Celebrations held recently. Knowingly or unknowingly some legitimate persons were not invited and honoured. Probably the film too followed the same strategy, when they omitted the name of Vijaykanth in the song. When questioned Karky had a ready made answer saying the composer had limited it to 100 names and hence he could not include his name or any other name as well. Though this wrong, but this is pardonable considering a great damage he had done while serializing the names in the song. He had placed his father’s name ahead of Maestro Ilayaraja in the song sequence. When asked about this, he did say that for the sake of rhythm the music director has changed it. While we are not sure if it is changed by the music composer or has been written the same way, out point of view is, it is entirely wrong to push down a father-figure in the film industry ahead of another figure who has become popular at a later years. It is further more wrong if you say it is done for the sake of rhythm, as you will be insulting a man, who is known for his rhythms. Karky could have explained his plain ignorance and expressed his regret. But no such thing had happened up till now.
