வரிஞ்சு கட்டிக்கிட்டு எழுதினா, உரிச்சு வச்சு உப்பு தடவுறாங்களே என்று பின்னாளில் வருந்த வேண்டியிருக்கும். ஆனால் சிரித்துக் கொண்டே சண்டை போட்டார் கேபிள் சங்கர். வலையுலகத்தில் கேபிளின் எழுத்துக்கு ஒரு வேல்யூ உண்டு. விமர்சிக்கும் நேரங்களில் எல்லா படங்களையும் பிரித்து மேய்வது அவரது வாடிக்கை. அப்படியாகப்பட்ட அவரே படம் இயக்க வந்தால் எப்படியிருக்கும்? அதற்கேற்ற மாதிரிதானே நிருபர்களின் கேள்விகளும் இருக்கும்? கேபிள் சங்கர் இயக்கி வரும் ‘தொட்டால் தொடரும்’ பட பிரஸ்மீட்டில் அவரை வளைத்து வளைத்து வாரியது பிரஸ்.
‘பல பேரோட கேபிளை பிடுங்கியிருக்கீங்க, இப்போ நீங்க எடுக்கிற படத்தோட கேபிள் ஸ்டிராங்கா இருக்கா?’ என்றார்கள் நிருபர்கள். கல் விழுவதற்காகவே காத்திருந்த மாதிரி பொரிய ஆரம்பித்தார் கேபிள். விமர்சனம் இல்லாமல் எந்த படைப்பும் இல்லை. நான் கதைகளை பற்றி விமர்சித்த போது உனக்கு கதை எழுத தெரியுமா என்றார்கள். அதற்கப்புறம் 65 சிறுகதைகள் எழுதியிருக்கிறேன். நாவல்களை பற்றி விமர்சித்தபோது உனக்கு நாவல் எழுத தெரியுமா என்றார்கள். அதற்கப்புறம் இரண்டு நாவல்கள் எழுதினேன். சினிமா எடுக்க தெரியுமா? என்றார்கள். சினிமா இயக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன். நிச்சயம் அது நல்ல படைப்பாகதான் இருக்கும். நான் ஏதோ போகிற போக்கில் விமர்சனம் எழுதிக் கொண்டிருக்கவில்லை. சினிமாவில் வசனகர்த்தவாக, தயாரிப்பு நிர்வாகியாக, உதவி இயக்குனராக, விநியோகஸ்தராக பணியாற்றிவிட்டுதான் நான் விமர்சனங்கள் எழுதி வந்தேன்.
படங்களில் இருக்கிற குறைகளை சொல்வது மட்டும் என் நோக்கமல்ல, பல படங்களை பாராட்டியும் இருக்கிறேன். அதெல்லாம் யார் கண்ணுக்கும் தெரியலையே என்றார் கவலையாக. இந்த படத்தின் ஹீரோ தமண் பேச வரும்போது கூட சிதறு தேங்காயாக கேபிள் சங்கரைதான் உடைத்தார். அவரோட விமர்சனங்களை நான் ரெகுலரா வாசிப்பேன். நான் நடிச்சிருந்த ‘சும்மா நச்சுன்னு இருக்கு’ படத்தை நாறடிச்சிருந்தார். அப்படிப்பட்ட அவரே என்னை இந்த படத்தில் ஹீரோவாக்கியிருக்கிறார்னா மகிழ்ச்சியா இருக்கு’ என்றார்.
இப்படி ஆளாளுக்கு கேபிள் அறுகிற அளவுக்கு தொங்கினாலும், இனிமையான கேள்விகளுக்கும் இடம் இருந்தது. படத்தின் நாயகி அருந்ததியிடம், ங்க தமிழகத்து அனுஷ்கா மாதிரிதான் இருக்கீங்க, ஆனா சொல்ற மாதிரி உங்க மார்க்கெட் உச்சத்துல இல்லையே?’ என்றார்கள். ஆமா… ஆரம்பத்துல சில படங்களை சரியா கணிக்க முடியாமல் ஒப்புக் கொண்டேன். இப்போ கதைக்கு ரொம்ப முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கிறேன். உங்க கேள்விக்கு இனிமே நல்ல விடை கிடைக்கலாம் என்றார்.
கத்தி எடுத்தவன் கத்தியாலதான் சாவான் என்பது மாதிரி பேனா எடுத்தவரை பேனாவாலேயே மடக்கும் பிரஸ்சுக்கு, ‘தொட்டால் தொடரும்’ சொல்லப் போகும் பதிலில்தான் இருக்கிறது விமர்சர்களின் மானம்! காப்பாத்துங்க கேபிள்..ள்…ள்….
Critic Cable Shankar debuts as director with Thottal Thodarum
Critic Cable Shankar is well known in the social media from public to the last person in the film industry. Shankar exposes every film threadbare in his critical reviews, which has caused heart-burns to several film personalities. Now he has donned the role of a director with Thottal Thodarum, with Thaman and Arundhathi playing the lead in the film. The press meet of the film was held recently and as expected the press were eager to know his responses on his reviews and about the film.
He started explaining in detail when asked if his film can withstand the critical reviews. He said that every invention and every product is subject to critical analysis and reviews. “People questioned me when I reviewed small stories, if I know to write small stories. He wrote 15 small stories later. When I reviewed novel, he was asked if I know how to write novel. And I have written couple of novels. When started writing film reviews, I was asked if he knows about making films. Now I am here to present my film” he said. “Even before starting writing reviews, I have worked as dialogue writer, executive producer, assistant director and even film distributor, with which he has learnt the nuances of the film industry” he added. “It is not my intention to only point out the flaws in the film. He has praised good and worthy films, which unfortunately has not been appreciated by many” he rued.
Thaman said that though Shankar sir has torn into his earlier film Summa Nachchunnu Irukke, I am very happy that I am acting in his film playing the lead. Arundhathi explained since she has not chosen her films better she was not in the reckoning in the industry. She hoped that her upcoming films will speak about her skills and talents.
