Herotalkies.com has released Ullaganayagan Kamal Haasan’s Super hit “Papanasam” in their website legally for audiences living outside India. The movie is released online officially so that customers can watch the movie legally instead of going to pirate sites. Earlier in June, Kamal Hassan’s previous movie Uttama Villain was also released online to counter piracy. Kamal Hassan has been a major proponent of digital platforms to make the movie reach to the customers in their home. Papanasam was a remake of Malayalam super hit movie “Drishyam” starring Mohanlal and Meena. Jeethu Joseph, director of original version, have also directed the Tamil version. Having screened at 500 theatres in Tamil Nadu and around 800 theatres worldwide, upon release, the movie did very well by collecting more than Rs. 100 crores worldwide.
