Pride of Tamil Cinema

The book PRIDE OF TAMIL CINEMA:

1931 to 2013 was released today (21-11-2014) at the Indian Panorama inaugural function. The book was released by Director of International Film Festival of India, Delhi, Mr. Shankar Mohan and was received by popular Bollywood actor Mr. Manoj Bajpai and then Mr. Ravi Kottarakara, President of Film Federation of India. The following was mentioned during the release of the book.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
‘PRIDE OF TAMIL CINEMA: 1931 to 2013’ is the first book based on Tamil films, that have earned National Film Awards and been selected to screen at Indian Panorama of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), to highlight the kind of diversity and cultural heritage these films have portrayed over the years. This book covers 83 years of Tamil Cinema and it’s a tribute to the National Film Award and Indian Panorama juries, for their stupendous effort to select the Pride of Tamil Cinema over the years.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

G. DHANANJAYAN is a business management professional associated with Disney-UTV, historian and popular writer on Tamil cinema in English & Tamil and his first book in English on “Best of Tamil Cinema” was published in 2011, which got widespread appreciation across the globe.
