This mail is with reference to our discussions regarding my father Shri Ashok kumar ( Cinematographer/Director )
As you are well aware, my father has been recuperating in a hospital based in Chennai for the last six months both in Hyderabad and Chennai due to ill health. Currently, his health condition has deteriorated and our family members have decided to provide him medical treatment from the premises of our home during his last days in his journey.
We have been fortunate enough to have many of his peers from the South Film Fraternity visit him in the hospital bed where he was under Ventilator in the ICU until about last week. We have had tremendous support from the Tamil film fraternity including The Directors Union, Cameraman Union and friends who had provided him with just assistance and overlooking the medical support when required as well.
I believe it would be my prerogative to inform the Tamil film fraternity about my father and his health condition.
Through this mail, i would like to communicate to the entire Tamil Film Industry about this news, and hopefully they can come forward to support us in whichever way possible.
